In the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Annual Performance Report (APR), KSD earned a three-year Composite Score of 90%, a 2.2-point jump over 2024. This places KSD among the highest-performing public school systems in the Kansas City region and in the top 4% statewide.

As a district, we are grateful for the caliber of students who walk through our doors daily, parents who are vested in their children’s education and development, and a community that goes to great lengths to support its schools.
“We are proud of this performance, but we’re even more proud of what it represents,” Superintendent Emily Miller said. “A 90% three-year composite demonstrates a commitment to growth. That doesn’t happen by accident.”
