The Hawthorne Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is an all-volunteer team of families, teachers, and staff dedicated to making our school the best possible place for kids to learn and grow. Every parent or guardian of a Hawthorne student is automatically a member—no dues, no barriers, just Bulldogs pulling in the same direction.
Our Mission

Support Learning: Provide classroom grants, library resources, and enrichment programs that enhance daily instruction.

Build Community: Host family events that connect students, staff, and neighbors in a spirit of Bulldog pride.

Elevate Appreciation: Celebrate teachers and staff with treats, thank-you gifts, and recognition throughout the year.
Signature Events

Bulldog Family Fun Night – games, food trucks, and raffles that raise funds while bringing everyone together.

Book Fair & Reading Week – a reading-themed spirit week that fills shelves at home and in the Library Media Center.

Spring Color Run – a run-walk fundraiser that ends in a rainbow cloud of school spirit.
How to Get Involved

Attend a Meeting: PTO meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Media Center (child care provided).

Volunteer a Shift: From decorating bulletin boards to running concessions, there’s a role for every schedule.

Share Your Skills: Graphic design, grant writing, event planning—your talents can make a huge impact.
