Kearney High School band students took part in the MSHSAA District Solo and Small Ensemble Festival on Friday, April 31.  Of the 25 KHS entries, 20 earned an “Honor Rating” of either Exemplary or Outstanding. Those receiving an Exemplary rating earned the right to move on to the state level.  The State Festival takes place on April 29 at the University of Missouri.  

“Even better than the results was watching our students go listen to and support one another,” Director Chris Heil said. “Congrats to all students who did the extra work to participate in this festival!”
