Kearney, Mo., November 17, 2022: A numerous contingent of Kearney High School students, staff and alumni had the opportunity to display their musical talents during a special performance last weekend at Kansas City’s prestigious Helzberg Hall auditorium.

The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (MYO) celebrated its 25th-anniversary concert at the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. Kearney Junior High music teacher Jamie Heil and eighth-grade science teacher Rachel Cerra were invited to perform with the MYO and Metropolitan Youth Symphonia ensembles along with several current Kearney students and alumni.

“We had quite the representation,” Ms. Cerra said. “It was a really fantastic experience for all involved!”
