Elementary Summer School
The theme for K-5 Summer School is “Summer School is in Full STEAM!” Beginning June 10, students will dive in to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) projects that will spark their creative minds! This year’s theme will have your kiddos thinking outside the box and coloring outside the lines (if they want to)! Summer at KSD will have something for every Bulldog! Find Out More and Enroll!
Middle School Summer Enrichment
This year’s Summer Enrichment offerings have students creating culinary and art masterpieces in “Art Adventure Camp” and “Let’s Cook!” courses. Back again this year, every day is a new experience in “Passport to Adventure”! The “Junior Police Academy” gives students an in-depth look into the life of an officer as they experience everything from processing a mock crime scene to performing traffic stops and more! New to the enrichment schedule will be “Lights, Camera, Action: A Commercial Production” where students will have the opportunity to create their own commercial while working in production teams to develop their own story ideas! KSD Summer Enrichment offers students a variety of opportunities to enrich their summer experiences! Space is limited for these fantastic classes. High School Summer Courses
KHS Summer courses will also begin on June 10. Students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to take courses such as Health and Personal Finance, Credit Recovery, and Driver’s Education (class dates for Driver’s Ed begin June 5).

DRIVER’S EDUCATION – CURRENTLY FULL (this is a certificated program and does not receive high school credit) – Students who are 15 years of age or older by June 5, 2019 and have obtained their driver’s permit are eligible to participate in Driver’s education. Students will be accepted on first come, first served basis. In order to successfully complete the Driver’s Education Training Program, all students are required to attend 8 hours of classroom instruction to be held at Kearney Junior High School as well as participate for the required number of hours for behind the wheel and driving observation hours (6 hours driving and 12 hours of observation). Every effort will be made to schedule around conflicts; however, students will be required to have their time behind the wheel and must fulfill this obligation according to instructor’s discretion. The driving instructor will set the driving schedule.
